The White Plains campus, which is located in the heart of the business district in White Plains, is easily accessible from all directions and is centrally located near commuter train and bus lines. A high degree of interaction between campus and community enhances the College’s commitment to provide students with an education that prepares them for successful careers. Established in 1945, today over 600 degree students are enrolled in day, evening, weekend, and online courses.
The College campus occupies its own contemporary building, which incorporates a traditional academic setting with cutting-edge technology. Students enjoy all the advantages of campus life in one locationclassrooms, student services, library, Academic Support Center, theater, student lounge, and computer labs. All facilities are designed to accommodate the physically challenged.
Library
Located on the third floor, the library offers spacious seating arrangements; a study room and paralegal library; computers for research and Internet access; law library; a copy machine; and a collection of print, media, and periodical subscriptions supporting the academic programs of the College and the general interests of the students. Academic librarians are available to assist in locating materials in the collection or navigating the array of electronic databases available.
Academic Support Center
Conveniently located next to the library, the Academic Support Center (ASC) offers a full array of academic support services to help students improve their academic performance and achieve their educational goals. The ASC offers a series of workshops to help strengthen study skills and time management. Tutoring is available online and on-site.
Residence
A friendly community spirit distinguishes the residence experience at Berkeley College. In Westchester, you can lease an apartment at Cottage Place a six-story residence. The building is located close to campus a short walk from classes, the library, the student center, and all sorts of campus activities. It is also within walking distance to train and bus lines. The facility features studio apartments with kitchenettes, and two- and three-bedroom apartments with full kitchens and living rooms. Bright, cheerful, and attractively furnished, each apartment is air-conditioned and wired for voice, data, and cable television. Sussex House is a one-floor modern and spacious student residence located within the College building featuring studio and two-bedroom apartments. From I-287 East: Take Exit 6, White Plains. Turn right at light onto North Broadway for .7 miles. Turn right onto Hamilton Avenue. Municipal Parking is on the left between EJ Conroy Drive and Church Street. Exit garage and cross Hamilton Avenue. College is one block on Church Street.
From I-287 West: Take Exit 6, White Plains. Turn left at first light onto Orchard Street. Turn left at light onto North Broadway for .7 miles. Proceed as above from I-287 East directions.
From I-95 North and South: Take Exit 21 onto I-287 West. Proceed as above from I-287 West.
From Hutchinson River Parkway North and South: Take White Plains Exit (Exit 26W) and merge left onto I-287 West. Proceed as above from I-287 West.
From the Bronx River Parkway North: Take Exit 21/Main Street. Turn right onto Main Street. Go straight on Main Street for 7 lights. Turn left onto Church Street. Turn right into Municipal Parking. Exit garage and cross Hamilton Avenue. College is one block on Church Street.
From Rockland County: Take I-87 South across the Tappan Zee Bridge. After toll, stay left and follow signs to I-287 East/White Plains at exit #8. Proceed as above from I-287 East.
From the Transit Center: Leaving the Transit Center, turn right after one block and make a left onto Hamilton Avenue for three blocks. Turn left onto Church Street. Municipal parking is located just one block away.
