High School Presentations

As a dedicated educator, you work hard every day to ensure that your students are well-prepared for the future. Now you can better assist them with practical, positive, free workshops provided in your classroom by Berkeley College.

Our representatives utilize a variety of techniques to deliver quality, thought-provoking, interactive presentations: video, PowerPoint, work-sheets, and more. Our workshops cover a broad range of subject matter.

PERSONAL FINANCE AND ECONOMICS
This is an interactive workshop that demonstrates to your students the importance of economics, how it affects us financially, and how it shapes our future goals and aspirations.

High School Presentation on First ImpressionsFIRST IMPRESSIONS
This workshop deals with the importance of developing good verbal and written communication skills, the distinction between formal and informal communications, and selecting the proper
mode of communication (such as email, phone call, texting, etc). This clever, entertaining film in animation depicts the impact of communications on critical experiences in students’ lives such as college and job interviews and social situations.

I KNOW WHAT YOU DID ONLINE
This informative workshop takes a proactive approach to prevent identity theft over the World Wide Web. Personal information can be easily accessed on the Internet by anyone looking for it. Students will learn why more than half a million people find themselves victims of identity theft each year. The presentation offers safe practices that are easy, yet critical to preserve one’s identity.

FASHION, THE BUSINESS THAT NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE
This informative video about the second largest industry in the world shares the viewpoints of industry leaders and Berkeley College fashion graduates.

INTERIOR DESIGN
This presentation illustrates a variety of industry principles; distinguishes design from decorating; and explores color, lighting, textiles, and computer-aided design.

High School Presentation One Extra DegreeONE EXTRA DEGREE
This workshop focuses on attitude, perseverance, goal setting, and self empowerment. These themes areintroduced to the students by the powerful metaphor of boiling water. Raising the
temperature of water by one degree is paralleled to one extra degree of effort. A change as small as one degree difference can make a dramatic difference in the outcome.
