Registration for the Summer Quarter Begins Now!
Registration is MANDATORY for continuing students and must be completed no later than Monday, April 21, 2008. At the beginning of the 4th week of the quarter, online classes will be reviewed and will be opened to campus students.
Please remember that the first step of the registration process is to reserve classes ONLY, you may complete your registration with Financial Aid and Students Accounts later in the quarter. The registration process is as follows:- Review the Summer Course Schedule on Blackboard, Community, Advisement, Schedule Courses, Online Summer 2008.
- Review your Degree Progress Report on Blackboard by going to Student Self Service, View Degree Progress Report.
- Compare your Degree Progress Report against the summer courses being offered and select the courses you need to take.
- Send an email to advisementonline@berkeleycollege.edu with your name, student ID#, and course selections. Your email will not be processed without this information and will be returned to you.
- Finally, you will receive an email confirming your approved schedule.

Welcome New Students!
Let me begin by welcoming our 80 new students to Berkeley College Online. As a first quarter student, we understand this time of adjustment. Whether you are a first time college student, are returning to college after a break, or are just new to the Online environment, we have a Peer-to-Peer program to support you.
Our Peers were selected through a rigorous process and trained to guide our newest additions to the Berkeley family. Peers are not tutors; rather they are a resource to answer questions during the critical first quarter. For more information, e-mail StudentDevelopmentOnline@berkeleycollege.edu.
Earth Day 2008
Did you know that you could save about $90 per year just by shutting down your computer? In one year, computers use up to 1200 kwh (kilowatts per hour) of power, produce 1600 pounds of carbon dioxide, and cost you $120. If you shut your computer off when you're not using it, you can save about $90 a year, conserve energy, and produce less CO2. Berkeley College will celebrate Earth Day the week of April 21. Visit the Project GreenPath site and the Student Development organization (in Blackboard) to learn more about the festivities at each campus.
Online Club Convention
Online Clubs were created to meet the need of online students at Berkeley College who cannot come to a physical campus, but still want to be part of the college community and interact with their fellow students. The College supports Online Clubs and wants to expand them to include all Berkeley students from all campuses and all programs. Through the use of Blackboard and other technologies, Berkeley is expanding its current Online Clubs and looking to create more clubs to help all of our students experience this aspect of college. Check out our Club Convention in Blackboard by going to “Online Degree Organization” (in the “Community” tab) and select the Club Convention Button. Our online clubs currently include: The Online Book Club, The Parents’ Café, and (our newest addition) The Healthy Café.
