Topics: Commercial and Residential Design, Design Trends, and Business Procedures. Background: Mr. Byrne joined Berkeley College as an Adjunct Professor in the Interior Design Department in 2001. He was promoted to his current position as Chair of the Interior Design Department in 2003. Mr. Byrne has 13 years of professional experience in the Interior Design industry, working as a Designer for Gensler in Morristown; Kilsby Designs, Ltd., NY; and George Dandridge Associates in NY. Before entering the world of Interior Design, Mr. Byrne specialized in Marketing and Management, working as a Marketing Executive for Seagram NY, before serving for four years as President of Kevin Byrne & Associates in New York, where he orchestrated, among other things, target marketing events for Absolut Vodka, Virgin Vodka, American Online, and Lucky Strike. Professional Affiliations: Member of the American Society of Interior Designers, the Interior Design Educational Council, and the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications. Degrees: Mr. Byrne has a B.A. from John Carroll University, Cleveland; an M.B.A. from DePaul University, Chicago; an M.S. in Interior Design from the Pratt Institute, NY; and a Doctor of Law degree from John Marshall Law School, Chicago.
