Background: Berkeley College Provost Dr. Rose Mary Healy, who has been with the College since 1991, is not only a visionary, but a leader of change and growth. She was a key figure in developing the College’s first baccalaureate degree programs for the College’s New York and New Jersey campuses. As Senior Vice President for the College’s New Jersey campuses (2001-2005), Dr. Healy led the faculty and administrative teams through the New Jersey and Middle States accreditation visits that resulted in approval of the institution’s first New Jersey baccalaureate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She was also actively involved in securing approvals for B.S. degrees in Fashion Marketing and Management and Management and led the New Jersey campuses through a Change of Programmatic Mission that the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education will consider in October 2006. As Senior Vice President for the College’s New York campuses (1996-2001), Dr. Healy helped develop the College’s first baccalaureate degree programs (B.B.A.) in Management, Marketing, General Business, Accounting, International Business, Information Systems Management, Fashion Marketing and Management and e-Business. She also led the College’s faculty and administrative teams through the self-study process leading to Middle States accreditation for the New York campuses. Dr. Healy also consults on planning, program evaluation, faculty development, institutional governance, and organizational change for the U.S. Department of Education, and the Research Triangle Institute and has served as an evaluator for the Middle States Commission Higher Education and the New York State Education Department.. Professional Affiliations: In 2005, Dr. Healy was inducted into the Academy of Women Leaders of the YWCA-NYC, a dynamic and distinguished network of nearly 3,000 accomplished women professionals predominantly from the tri-state area. She is also an active member of a number of academic and professional organizations including Phi Delta Kappa, Sigma Delta Pi, and Sigma Phi Honor Societies. Degrees: Dr. Healy holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toledo, an M.A. from Eastern Michigan University, and a B.A. from Salve Regina College.
